Bathe Me with Thermae Romae
It’s a work like Thermae Romae that proves to me that anime still has so much to offer, despite the slew of look-a-likes out there. If you are able to set aside your art style preferences, then I think you’ll find this to be one of the funniest bits of warped history and culture since, I don’t know, anything!
Area no Kishi and Transplanting the Human Soul
Although I haven’t been as pleased with Area no Kishi as I would have expected, I am still enjoying it well enough to keep with it. I’m fond of the sport and I was hopeful about seeing some real character clashes between the brothers and “Seven”. Unfortunately, the end of episode two threw in a fatal vehicle/pedestrian accident. Episode three then opens up on Kakeru waking up with his older brother’s heart beating in his chest.

I’ve been dragging my feet in getting around to watching all the newly airing shows, but I’m glad I clung in there because there are a few promising works here waiting to blossom. And while a couple are not too high on my priority for this season, none of them were completely devoid of noteworthy aspects.

I’m not quite sure if I’m blessed or cursed with the number of anime I’ll most likely be watching this winter season, combining many of the below shows along with the plenty I’m already watching from the fall. I may have to resort to saving some of them up for later viewings or marathon nights.
